just talking to myself
I named the photo after this song, because it was taken on a night time intermission. I was having a very busy night with a number of people, when I had to take an intermission... to talk to myself. I went up to the roof of my house and gazed around the lights of my neighborhood.
As I was downloading the photos from the camera, I was listening to Charlotte Gainsbourg's album 5-55. I was about to give the photo a name, and because I suck with titles my initial thought was to call it 5-55... after the song I was listening to at the time. It didn't make much sense, but I liked it anyway. Then, I noticed the name of this song... and it was just perfect!

I should have added these to the previous post. I'm the ultimate Cardifan ( Cardigans Fan ) and my love for them comes from their always so powerful lyrics. So it only makes since that they make it to the Powerful Lyrics list.
I've shared some of my favorite songs in an old post, but here are a couple of more songs.

Audio: Share a song you could listen to all day on repeat.
Few weeks back, I've gone through one of those emotional days that left me drained at the end of the day. I was laying in bed, all covered with only my head sticking out of the blanket. I was watching VH1's chillout when this song started. It was like magic because I was at a place where I REALLY needed someone to tell me to lighten up, it's gonna brighten up. It drew an instant smile on my face. And for a while now, it's been playing on my iPod none stop.
Music is magical <3
Radiohead release their seventh studio album today and it's only available online and you set your own price. Will you buy the album? Do you buy the idea?
I'm glad you asked this! Just in time for my update.
So as I said before, I do like the idea of setting your own price. The publicity they got is more than ever.
I've also mentioned that I offered them $0.00 for the album. I set my own price and they accepted it, so when they
said "It's up to you" they really meant it. Earlier today I got an email from Radiohead's site with the activation code and the link to download the album.
I did download it but haven't listened to it yet. If I like it, I'll gladly go back to the site, order again and this time pay for it.
I am not Radiohead's biggest fan, but I do like their music and I sure admire the way they managed to turn heads to them lately.
If you haven't heard their latest news, Radiohead's latest album "In Rainbows" is going to be available exclusively on their website.
No iTunes, no HMV, no Virgin, only through their website. The album will be available as a download or a CD for $16, $8, $3 or even 1 cent...
It is up to you. No really, it is up to you!
That marketing model has turned all heads to Radiohead. Their site has crashes as a result of fans pre-ordering the album but now it's back again.
I just had to test that "it's up to you" thing. It is really up to me to put a price tag on the album? Will I really get it for as much as I'd like to pay? To get my answer I acted like the cheapest person on the planet and payed $0.00 for the album. Yes, that is Zero Dollars. And guess what, it really was up to me! My order was processed without even asking for any credit card info and I received a confirmation email but I'm still suspicious of whether or not I will actually receive the activation code on Oct 10th to download the album.
Many of you will think that I probably think that Radiohead's music is worthless, or maybe that I've taken advantage of the situation and pay $0.00 for their efforts. That is NOT the case.
If I did receive an activation code to download the album, I'll be more than happy to go back and order the album again for... umm.. I don't know how much I'll pay but I'll definitely pay what I think it's worth.
Now the big question is, will Radiohead make what they hope they'll make using that marketing model? or is it really not about the money?
I'll post again on the 10th on whether or not I got my download.
Thought I'd give it a try. Creating something from scratch. Following a tutorial I found, I created this little iPod and decided to dedicate it to my friend OoOdi cause he's the only musician I know and I'm hoping to see his music on my iPod soon :)
Just discovered this song, I like it!
By the way, who knows how to add album's artwork to the file instead of that ugly pink icon?
