This is something to think about.
I watch My Blueberry Nights last night. Everywhere I looked, the movies got the same bad reviews, but as a Norah Jones fan, I just had to watch it.
I really liked it. I thought of it as a very real movie. It is romantic in a good way, not the chick flick-y way (which I still enjoy from time to time). Scenes of the movie looked like the photos I have in my mind but never had the chance to take.. the director has an interesting style, indeed.
As for Norah Jones, I didn't think she was great but she was OK for a first try. The soundtrack was great.. it included Cat Power's The Greatest.. which I absolutely love.
I can see why not many people would like it, and yes, some parts were boring. But overall, I enjoyed it and I did crave a piece of blueberry pie.
I just noticed this "E-Card" in my email...
I've been getting a lot of those bogus ecards lately, it looks so real. Every link in the email leads to a hallmark.com page except for the "To see it, click here" which links to a jpg.exe file. That file either opens a pic right away which contains a virus or downloads and once you click on it, it activates the virus. Another thing I've noticed is some ecards link to a page where they ask you to re-enter your password. It's an old trick, but still a lot of people fall for it. No website will ever ask you to re-enter your email's password, period.
Since it's a holiday season, you might receive some of these bogus emails. So becareful !
Few weeks back, I've gone through one of those emotional days that left me drained at the end of the day. I was laying in bed, all covered with only my head sticking out of the blanket. I was watching VH1's chillout when this song started. It was like magic because I was at a place where I REALLY needed someone to tell me to lighten up, it's gonna brighten up. It drew an instant smile on my face. And for a while now, it's been playing on my iPod none stop.
Music is magical <3
Yesterday was the opening for the first Krispy Kreme here in Jeddah. People were lining up as if they've never seen doughnuts before. Whoever would succeed to get in would buy at least 3 to 5 dozens, crazy people. Very ironically, yesterday was also diabetes day, do you think anyone had an idea? nope.
I guess sugar wins, after all.
My internet connection was down all day today, it was a painful day indeed. It was funny at the same time, cause if
you looked around you would see how our life looks like without internet:
- my dad was actually READING
- me and my sister were actually WORKING. And talking, using real life emotions, on how life sucks without internet.
Now I don't really need to be online 24/7. But I do need to know it's there for when I need it.
I'm so hooked I need some serious help.
