Usually when I blog something on here, I never keep in mind the fact that people are actually gonna be reading it at some point. And not just my Vox neighborhood or Vox users in general, but it's really out there for all people to see.
From time to time I get emails from people who come across my blog through Google or some blog directory, and those emails are what reminds me of how exposed blogs are. Those emails are usually a request for a song I've posted that they can't find anywhere or some silly question about something I've said. I think people find it easier to email me than sign up for Vox to leave a comment.
Anyway, yesterday I got an email with a rather strange request. A guy named Greg (Hi Greg .. if you're reading this!) from a company named Think and Thrive was looking for someone from Saudi Arabia to help him find some visual aid for his company... a Saudi globe where Israel is nonexistent. My first reaction was "Really? I don't think I've actually paid enough attention to a globe to see if Israel is there or not", it is possible though that it's not. Greg's assumption comes from this article from the New York Times which talks about custom made globes and how it's affected by politics.
Sadly for Greg, I was not much of a help, but I was able to redirect him to a friend of mine who is willing to go out and look for such a globe. That's as much help as I could give. Now whether or not that kinda globe is available.. I'm not sure but I'll update again once I hear from my friend.
First time I heard the song, I had very mixed feelings. It took few listens for it to grow on me, and now I'm totally in love with it. If you're familiar with Coldplay's music you'd understand the greatness of the song.
If you want to download the song, you can get it right here.
Now I can't believe I have to wait till June for the whole album to be released.
It's been a while since I've posted here. And I'm not even sure why I'm posting right now.
I'm getting sick of Vox for some reason. It's just not as fun as it used to be. Actually I'm pretty much done with all social networks, IMs and such. It's this weird phase I go through every now and then.
Okay, what else? Nothing, I guess. I just came by to say that.
Bye now!
What is the best job in the whole wide world? A Google Doodler!
